Trevor Newport Ministries

 About Us
Trevor was a Mathematics undergraduate at Liverpool University and preparing for his career in either Industry or lecturing in Maths. He had a sponsorship with GEC Stafford who had a job for him in management after graduation. However, even though he had only been saved for 18 months and baptised in the spirit for 6 months, God began calling him into ministry. Trevor said to God that he would love to accept this calling once he had finished his degree, got a house, got married etc, then at about 35 he would enter ministry once all the other thing were sorted out. The Lord spoke very clearly and said not to wait but that He wanted him to step out now when he had nothing.

Trevor asked for many confirmations of this, and God answered every one of his prayers! So in December 1980 Trevor found himself the pastor of the Garston, Liverpool Elim Pentecostal Church even though he had never preached a sermon in his life. The church only had 8 people and it was there that Trevor and Ruth really learned how to pray for their daily needs. Money came through the door regularly and food was given to them. This went on for the first 14 years of ministry.

After nearly 3 years Trevor felt God calling him on to another church and they moved to Salford, Manchester. It is there that he saw revival for the first time. Awesome healings and miracles took place, people came out of wheelchairs, blind eyes opened, cancers were healed and many more. The presence of God was so strong that Trevor was still crying hours after the service had finished.

After nearly 4 years he was called to move again, this time to go to Smethwick in the West Midlands. Again God poured out His Spirit and the church grew very much.

Trevor always knew that God had a wider calling on his life and that all would change when he was 30. He moved to Stoke on Trent and he and Ruth spent 6 months fasting and praying (not the entire 6 months fasting though!) before starting Life Changing Ministries. That was 20 years ago! LCM has since influenced many nations in different ways. One of the methods that God has used to touch people has been through books. Trevor began writing in 1993 and has written 24 books which have gone into 120 nations. Many have been translated into different languages such as Spanish, Cambodian, Japanese, German, Korean and many more. LCM has sold and distributed over 175,000 books worldwide, and recently God has told Trevor to stand in faith for 1 million to be sold.

Trevor has also ministered in 62 countries and still travels today. Trevor accepted the calling as an Apostle in 1996 and since then LCM has become network of hundreds of Churches across the globe as Trevor provides an Apostolic covering to leaders of all kinds in many different nations. Trevor says that he could never have done all this without Ruth who took over as pastor of LCM mother church about 10 years ago. Ruth releases Trevor to go and minister to the world. They work as a team and flow very well together both in ministry and out.
Trevor had been ordained by the Elim Pentecostal Church, He had been the Pastor of three Churches over a period of ten years, but God had other plans in store for Trevor and Ruth. They began to pray and seek God about the next step in their ministry.

After six months of seeking the Lord, Trevor had a word from God to pioneer a new Church in Stoke on Trent. The word was specific, Start meetings at the Saltbox, in Burslem, Stoke on Trent. And in September 1990, meetings began at the saltbox and Trevor and Ruth’s home.

After one year of meetings at the Saltbox, the Lord again spoke, this time to move into a new building, so the Sunday meetings moved to Cartwright House in Hanley. They were then offered Twyford Hall which was a much bigger place to worship. After a year the Scouts who owned the building offered to sell it to LCM, but God had different plans. Another party put in a better offer and so LCM had to move.

LCM hired another scout hall on the outskirts of Hanley and the Church continued to grow. It was during this time that The lord spoke to Trevor about beginning to travel internationally.

Trevor was contacted by the local Methodist bishop who asked him whether he would be willing to take on Bemersley House in Hanley. The Lord gave miraculous favour and LCM moved in. The whole top floor was converted into a brand new Church facility, and there was even room for offices! This has been the home of LCM for over 17 years.

But the story doesn’t end there, many other things have happened in this time. Here are just a few of the miraculous things that God has done through Life Changing Ministries over the years.

In 1993 God began to speak to Trevor about writing books, Trevor stepped out writing from his own experiences and his knowledge of the Bible. He has since written over 24 books which have been distributed globally to at least 120 nations. The books have caused LCM to grow tremendously over the years and around 170,000 books have now been sold or distributed, many of which have now been translated into different languages such as Japanese, Spanish, German, Korean, Cambodian and many more.

In 1995, during a time of intense prayer, Trevor received a personal visit from Jesus Christ who confirmed his apostolic calling. This was followed by dramatic growth over the next year and by 1996 the LCM network had grown to over 100 churches. Leaders from churches in the UK and around the world sought Trevor’s Apostolic covering.

In 2000, Trevor was invited by Dr. C Peter Wagner to become a founder member of the International Coalition of Apostles, and has been a member ever since attending their annual conference in the USA.

From 2004, LCM produced its own TV programme ‘setting the captives free’ which was broadcast on Sky TV. The programme was broadcast weekly for five years uninterrupted, and reached the people of the UK through Revelation TV. Through this ministry, LCM was able to reach out to the nation with strong Bible-based teaching.

From the meetings at the saltbox in Burslem to present, LCM has grown to cover a network of over 500 churches worldwide, with new applications for Apostolic covering being received from Churches, Ministries, and individuals all the time. Trevor welcomes anyone who is serious about their ministry, to contact us and find out more about his covering.

LCM will celebrating 20 years in the city of Stoke on Trent in September 2010 and we thank God for all those years of miracles, healings, and supernatural growth. This Journey would not have been possible without all the members, partners and volunteers who have helped us over the years, we thank and bless them for their support.
